Do You Speak Coke?
In the commercial two characters from two very different places find common ground on a NY subway car with the help of a Coke. On a subway station platform, a Hip Hop dog enters a subway car to be joined one stop later by a mean looking Rock wrestler character. The Hip Hop dog speaks to the wrestler in hip hop beats and icons and the wrestler replies in rock guitar riffs and designs, each unable to understand the other. As they both take a refreshing sip of Coke, the Hip Hop dog’s beats mash into the Rock wrestler’s music riffs creating a fresh and fluid sound.
The dog needed to have a hip hop look, without making him clichéd.
